3M extends its premier line of high-performance window films with 3M Crystalline

3M, creators of Scotch Scotch tape, Post-it Notes, Scotchgard, Thinsulate and an array of other outstanding life enhancing products, introduces it newest addition to its Automotive Window Film line for windscreen and side window applications.

3M Crystalline 90 Automotive Window Film offers consumers a superior, crystal-clear film that lets through up to 90% of visible light, while blocking up to 97% of the sun´s infrared (IR) heat. Rejection of IR means vehicles stay cooler, thus minimizing the burden on air conditioning, which can translate into fuel savings and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

"We´re excited to offer consumers full vehicle protection with a clear film from 3M´s portfolio. Crystalline 90 meets the highest clarity and heat-rejection standards, maximizing protection from the sun and making drivers more comfortable. 3M´s history of innovation and technology leadership in window films are the basis for the development of this sophisticated automotive product,"said Walid Feghali, Country Business Leader Safety Security & Protection Services Middle East and Africa.

Crystalline 90 is an extension of the company´s Crystalline Series that is produced using multi-layer optical films, the same advanced technology used to improve the brightness in flat panel LCD televisions. This expertise allowed 3M researchers to produce a patented window film with hundreds of layers that gives a combined thickness less than a Post-it® Note.

Since it is crystal clear, it won´t change the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle. As with the other films in the Crystalline line, Crystalline 90 offers a number of advantages over standard films.

Zero Interference
Marking a significant breakthrough in the advancement of automotive window films, 3M Crystalline Automotive Window Films are totally metal-free in their content. There is zero interference with mobile phones, GPS, and radio reception.

Reduced Reflectivity
3M Crystalline Automotive Window Films provide substantially reduced reflectivity as compared to traditional window films, enhancing car window views, as well as protecting the window´s original beauty.

UV Protection
3M Crystalline Automotive Window Films have a UV blockage performance of 99.9% and a total SPF (Sun Protection Factor) that exceeds 1000. This provides car passengers with significant protection from the dangers of exposure to the sun´s UV rays, including sunburn, premature aging and the risk of skin cancer. Additionally, 3M films help protect your car interior from the destructive ultraviolet rays that can cause fading and deterioration.

Enhanced Safety & Security
The new 3M Crystalline Automotive Window Films series offers the same glass breakage performance you have come to associate with 3M solar films. In the event of an accident, 3M Crystalline Automotive Window Films help to minimize flying glass, protecting interior occupants against injury from glass fragments.

A Name You Can Trust
3M´s family of products gives vehicle owners a smart, clear choice of automotive window films. 3M has been a world leader in window film technology for four decades, since the company first introduced window films to protect home interiors from the sun´s harmful rays.
