3M extends its premier line of high-performance window films with 3M Crystalline3M, creators of Scotch Scotch tape, Post-it Notes, Scotchgard, Thinsulate and an array of other outstanding life enhancing products, introduces it newest addition to its Automotive Window Film line for windscreen and side window applications. 3M Crystalline 90 Automotive Window Film offers consumers a superior, crystal-clear film that lets through up to 90% of visible light, while blocking up to 97% of the sun´s infrared (IR) heat. Rejection of IR means vehicles stay cooler, thus minimizing the burden on air conditioning, which can translate into fuel savings and lower greenhouse gas emissions. "We´re excited to offer consumers full vehicle protection with a clear film from 3M´s portfolio. Crystalline 90 meets the highest clarity and heat-rejection standards, maximizing protection from the sun and making drivers more comfortable. 3M´s history of innovation and technology leadership in window films are the basis for the development of this sophisticated automotive product,"said Walid Feghali, Country Business Leader Safety Security & Protection Services Middle East and Africa. Crystalline 90 is an extension of the company´s Crystalline Series that is produced using multi-layer optical films, the same advanced technology used to improve the brightness in flat panel LCD televisions. This expertise allowed 3M researchers to produce a patented window film with hundreds of layers that gives a combined thickness less than a Post-it® Note. Since it is crystal clear, it won´t change the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle. As with the other films in the Crystalline line, Crystalline 90 offers a number of advantages over standard films.
