Centrosolar extends warranty for all of its crystalline modules to 10 years
Top quality guaranteed: Centrosolar AG has extended its product warranty for crystalline modules to 10 years. The warranty applies to all photovoltaic modules that are produced at Centrosolar’s Sonnenstromfabrik solar factory in Wismar (Germany). Until recently, the company has always offered a five-year product warranty.
With this new warranty extension, Centrosolar AG highlights the high level of quality of its modules once more. Crystalline solar modules produced on the company’s own production facilities are subject to the highest quality standards. “Since we produce these modules ourselves, we are able to monitor every step of the production process from start to finish, and we know exactly which materials are being used. This provides us with the security to be able to offer high-quality modules, which we have highlighted with the decision to double our warranty to 10 years,” declares Simon Gerrard, Managing Director of Centrosolar UK Ltd. "Centrosolar have always led the way in offering the best warranties. We are the only manufacturer to offer a 26 year performance guarantee and a 10 year product warranty across our module range is another example of our commitment to offering our customers the best long term value.”
In addition to a 10 year warranty all Centrosolar modules have salt spray certification and anti-reflective glass on the front side as standard ensuring a very good performance over the whole life cycle.
The Sonnenstromfabrik solar factory in Wismar is one of the top 5 solar module production facilities in Germany. The company is currently expanding production to include a second plant and expects to achieve a production capacity of 350 MWp by the end of the year.
The new warranty applies retroactively from the 1st of June and includes all crystalline modules from the S-Class Excellent, S-Class Professional and S-Class Integration Deluxe brands. The performance warranty period will continue to amount to 26 years at 80 per cent performance.
