Chinese company to make PSE&G solar photovoltaic panels

ET Solar Group, a Nanjing-based solar power product manufacturer and service provider, announced today that it has been selected to provide modules for a solar project for Public Service Electric and Gas Company, the largest utility in New Jersey.

Under the agreement, ET Solar will supply 910 kilowatts of 280 watt modules that will be installed on two rooftops and two carport structures at Camden Street School in Newark, housing approximately nine hundred students. 
 
Developed, integrated and installed by Boonton-based A.L.M. Electric Co., the system will be financed, owned, and operated by PSE&G under its $515 million solar power initiative. The modules began shipment this month. The grid connection is expected to be completed before the end of this year, the company said in a press release today.

"At PSE&G we are investing $750 million in initiatives to expand access to solar energy in New Jersey," said Al Matos, PSE&G´s vice president of renewables and energy solutions at the ground breaking for a solar farm of ground mounted panels in Edison earlier this month.

ET Solar has local sales offices and subsidiaries in 40 countries in Asia, Europe, and North America, the company said in its release today.
