Construction Begins on Module PlantConstruction on a new highly automated solar photovoltaic (PV) module assembly facility owned by Centosolar Group AG is underway. This marks the start of the expansion of the Sonnenstromfabrik Wismar plant in Wismar, Germany. The new facility is scheduled to produce its first PV modules by July of this year. Centrosolar is investing approximately €20 million [US $30 million] in the expansion. Starting in 2010 the plant will be turning out solar modules with an annual capacity of 150 megawatts (MW) and a corresponding annual sales volume estimated at €140 million [US $210 million].
