Provisional (unaudited) results for the 2008 financial year
record levels of revenue and earnings:
- Revenue EUR 331.8 million (2007: EUR 220.3 million)
- EBITDA EUR 21.6 million (2007: EUR 15 million)
- EBIT EUR 12.2 million (2007: EUR 5 million)
Based on provisional calculations, CENTROSOLAR Group AG posted record levels of revenue and earnings for the 2008 financial year. Consolidated revenue showed above-target growth of more than 50 % in 2008, to EUR 331.8 million (2007: EUR 220.3 million).
The company had started the year with target revenues of EUR 310 million. Around 73 % of revenue was brought in by photovoltaic systems, which are sold to installers and mounted on roofs. Key components for the solar industry, such as mounting systems for modules and solar glass, accounted for approx. 27 % of revenue. According to initial projections, the greater part of revenue was realised abroad.
EBITDA, too, showed a marked rise of 44 % to EUR 21.6 million and was by and large able to meet the forecast of EUR 22 million. EBIT rose by a factor of approximately 2.5 to EUR 12.2 million (2007: EUR 4.8 million). The earnings after tax allocable to the shareholders tripled from EUR 1.4 million to EUR 3.9 million.
