To all members of the Glass Bottle Manufacturing Community world wide

It is with deep regret that on October 14th. 2008, while making a world wide sales tour, doing audits for PepsiCo International and also headed towards the Glass Show 2008 in Germany, Mr. Jerry Evan Houldson CEO off Glass Concepts International passed away in his sleep at the young age of sixty while in Islamabad, Pakistan. The cause was confirmed as natural causes. This was a complete shock to all, for Jerry had so many plans for future business and family events. But apparently God had other plans for him. We are still finding much difficulty adjusting to our great loss. Jerry was loved and respected by many people across the globe and will be truly missed.

As you may know, the late Jerry Houldson was known for his smile and his vast knowledge of the glass business. He was so passionate about the glass industry starting at the age of 18 in San Leandro, California (USA). Anchor Hocking Glass gave this young man an opportunity as a broom boy where he strived to be the best at what ever he did. He quickly advanced from lube man to operator and proceeded forward to repairman and eventually sales and consulting. Jerry then began to attend college to learn even more about manufacturing, sales and human resource. He never claimed to know it all, but it was his goal to learn as much as he could from so many people and to share his knowledge to all that would listen.

Jerry had been around the world numerous times and had clients and friends worldwide. He was also a family man who now leaves behind his wife Patricia Houldson his son Rod Houldson and his daughter Aprille Houldson/Coursin and a total of 5 grandchildren between his two children along with his mother, two brothers and two sisters.

We are pleased to announce that Glass Concepts International will continue to serve the Glass Industry through Jerrys´ business associates and family as he would have wanted and to continue to supply used I.S. Machinery along with new and used parts world wide. We also realize that we cannot replace Jerry and the passion he had for this business. Glass Concepts International shall do its´ best to serve his customers in the manner of which Jerry would want.

It is our intent to make Jerry proud as he looks down upon us while I.S. Machines are producing Glass Ware and not submitting to Plastic(s).
