Certification for Centrosolar’s quality management system
Centrosolar AG has successfully concluded the certification of its quality management system. The Hamburg-based company hired the VDE (the German Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies), a well-respected testing and certification institute, to perform the evaluation. The VDE confirmed that the photovoltaic provider’s quality management system meets the criteria of the internationally recognised standard DIN ISO 9001:2008.

Entgegen dem Markttrend konnte die CENTROSOLAR Group AG nach vorläufigen Ergebnissen im dritten Quartal ein positives EBIT erzielen und damit die Verluste des ersten Halbjahres in Höhe von 4,9 Mio. EUR reduzieren. Zwar blieb die erwartete Belebung der Nachfrage nach Solaranlagen trotz attraktiver Renditen für Endkunden aus. Daher lag der Quartalsumsatz mit rund 72 Mio. EUR unter den Erwartungen.

CENTROSOLAR continues to expand its international market position
CENTROSOLAR ended the first half with revenue of EUR 150.5 million (previous year EUR 209.2 million). The second quarter in particular (revenue EUR 79.3 million, as against EUR 124.2 million in previous year) saw a substantial decline in market prices which temporarily weighed on revenue and earnings. The fall in prices was triggered by the Italian government effectively suspending financial incentives for solar systems for 2-3 months in March.
